Inner Will Club

Youth is one of the fascinating and Complex stage of life at both personal and social level. Student’s participation in social activities can leave far greater impact on their minds, making them realize the importance of working for a cause and society at large. The value of College education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the young mind to think. True education is the harmonious development of a learner of physical, mental, moral, spiritual and social values.

Education is a systematic process through which a child acquires knowledge, experience, skill and sound attitude. It make san individual civilized, refined cultured and educated. To inculcate social values and responsibilities among students community and to provide the students an exposure to social reality the Inner Will Club was established.

Objectives

  • To provide the students an exposure to contemporary social reality.

  • To promote holistic and positive development of young students.

  • To study the problems faced by youth.

  • To awaken the sense of responsibility amongst the students towards their parents and grandparents.

  • To cultivate the spirit of active involvement to the service in the society.

  • To provide educational help to deprived students at primary school in rural areas. An appeal is made every year to all the students to donate in kind for this noble cause.

Visit to Dill Kush Orphanage at Gorai, Bhayandar

Inner Will Club strive to provide educational stationeries to deprived children of primary school. Inner Will Club organized a visit to orphanage, “Dill Kush Children Home, Gorai, Uttan, Bhayandar West on 22nd February, 2018.”

An appeal was made to all the students to donate in kind any educational stationary for his noble cause. Students contributed pencil box, notebook, tiffin box, water bottle, school bag, sports material, games willingly for this social cause.

Our College students organized competitions and cultural program for the children, Students and teachers distributed educational stationary and sport material for needy students. It was an effort to inculcate social values among the students through Inner Will Club. Our aim is not just to educate but transform the students to be a responsible citizen of our society.

Visit to Radhika Old Age Home

Inner Will Club have visited Radhika Old Age Home, Gorai Road, Uttan on 22nd February, 2018. The student happily volunteered to go. It was not made compulsory and the student took initiative to visit old age home and to spend some time with them.

Objectives of visit to Old Age Home:

  • To create awareness among students about the neighbourhood.

  • To sensitize students to social work.

  • To understand problems of aged people.

  • To become aware of the joy of serving and being with the aged.

To break the monotony of their lives, the Students, Volunteers, Teachers and group of Artists of our college visited Old Age Home. he students joined hands, some went along shaking hands in their rooms, they conversed with elderly persons. The cultural programme (singing) was organised specially for Old People. Ex-students Faraz Khan and his group presented live Orchestra with melodious old songs on instruments. Students, teachers and old people experienced the musical event with natural surroundings.

It was a wonderful experience and an opportunity to discover empathy within ourselves. Some of them broke into tears when we presented them gift, cake and shared our thoughts on visit at Old Age Home. From their expressions we could understand that they were longing to share their grief with someone.

Though we spent only few hours with them, they made us realize value of grandparents and the tenderness with which we need to take care of them Students realised the value of their parents and grandparents. We could see emotions and feelings in the eyes of students and many of them expressed their feelings and took the oath to respect their parents, grandparent in the best way possible.

Visit Global Vipassana Pagoda

Inner Will Club organized visit to Global Vipassana Pagoda on 12th February, 2018 for the students to learn the meditation and Vipassana skills. The process of self-purification by introspection is never easy, one has to work really hard. Students were given meditation session to achieve spiritual goal of total liberation and full enlighten. Students experienced inner peace and self-realization throughout the meditation session.

Inner Will Club prepares young students to meet the challenges of adolescence and adulthood and achieve his or her full potential through it activities and experiences that help students develop social, ethical, emotional, physical, and cognitive competencies.
