We will provide you the best education which you dreamt for!
Mira Bhayander earlier was considered as a region that lacked educational infrastructure as far as higher education was concerned. This sense of lack led me and my team to think over the issue of higher education profoundly and urgently. Absence of higher education institutes, students’ painful commutation to the various colleges in Mumbai and the educational need of lower-middle class actualised Shree Shankar Narayan Education Trust’s Shankar Narayan College of Arts and Commerce in 1994. A minute analyses of Mira Bhayander locality led me towards startling conclusions viz. the population of the area has low-literacy rate and almost no awareness for the importance of higher education. It gives me immense happiness that the said people’s wards are being graduated from the college, to whom graduation was a dream, an inaccessible zone. We initiated with 47 students in 1994 with inadequate infrastructure and today we have a huge building with all the amenities and standards for over 7300 students in the campus. The college is proudly responsible for more than 700 polished graduates with a disposition towards Indian values and thorough professionalism every year.
The alumni of the college are well placed in various organisations and serving the society as well. My vision is to continue the dissemination of higher education to all the generations to come. For catering various professional needs of the students, we have degree courses in Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, Management studies, Financial Marketing, Computer Science and Information technology, along with traditional Arts and Commerce stream. The sister institutes like Rohidas Patil Institute of Management Studies (MMS) Pravin Patil Institute of Diploma Engineering and Technology (Polytechnic) in the campus are our equal efforts for imparting Management and Technical education respectively. Pramila Institute of Administrative Careers is a new unit introduced for UPSC, MPSC, RRB and the like competitive examinations. We always strive for better work and hence, a better creation.
