The Visionary management has contributed in the field of education in Mira – Bhayandar area; one of the steps towards its mission was the introduction of M.Com in Advanced Accountancy/ Corporate Accounting/ Financial Management, Affiliated toUniversity of Mumbai for the Commerce Graduates, started from the academic year 2013-14.

The college is offering best opportunity to the students seeking higher education to make excel in their career. The specialty of college is its modern infrastructure, well equipped classrooms, library & well experienced dynamic group of teachers.

OBJECTIVES

  • To provide quality higher education to make student competent.
  • To develop research culture among the students.
  • To enhance skill among student to cope up with the today’s industrial needs.

The academic year 2018-19 commenced with admission of M. Com. Part - II. Where all the 66 seats were filled without a single seat vacant, this was due to 100% result of M. Com. Part - I. M.Com. Part - I admission began after third year B. Com and equivalent to B. Com. results declared. With overwhelmed response of the students, compel us to apply for additional seats with University of Mumbai and which was approved with additional 18 seats. As a result the total strength leads to 78seats for the academic year 2018-19.

  • We organised Induction programme along with M. Sc. IT for Part – I students of M. Com. And M. Sc. IT Part – I to introduce about Post Graduate programme and also felicitated meritorious students Part II. Shri. Rohidasji Patil, Founder Chairman of Shree Shankar Narayan Education Trust, Shri. Maheshji Mhatre, Hon. Secretary of SNET, Director of RPIMS Dr. Bhupesh Rane, Principal Dr. V. N. Yadav were invited for this program. They appreciated and delivered guidance to the students.
  • One day workshop on ‘Avishkar Research Convention: 2018-19’ organised by St. Gonsalo Garcia College of Arts & Commerce, Vasai (W). Prof. Ajit Jadhav and students of part II namely Ms. Aditi Dwivedi and Ms.Hetal Bhati attended the same.
  • One day workshop on 'Research Methodology - Key to a Good Research Project Report' for M. Com. students organised by Post Graduate Section (M.Com) of NSS College of Commerce and Economics on Saturday, 28th July 2018, our M. Com Students Mr. Aziz Kanorwala, Ms. Khushboo Pualsa and MS. Falguni Prajapati attended the same.
  • We invited Guest speaker Dr. Suryakant Lasune, HOD Commerce and Coordinator of M.Com. and Ph. D. Centre of Lala Lajpatrai College, Mumbai to deliver lecture on ‘How to Prepare Research Project’ for Part - II students on Saturday, 11th August, 2018.
  • We organised guidance lecture on ‘Create google form and Analyse data’ for research project of Part – II students. Prof. Dattatrey Gursale, senior faculty of RPIMS was invited as speaker.

Admission Procedure

The admission schedule will commence after the declaration of the results of the Third year courses like B.Com. BMS, BAF, BBI, BFM etc. Please check for the details on the college website or the college notice board.

Students seeking admissions to this college are required to apply in the prescribed form. Students must affix recent photograph on the filled admission form along with copies of the statement of TY mark sheet for verification to the office staff. Incomplete forms will be rejected. The merit list will be displayed in the college as per University guidelines, and all selected students should submit original documents as mentioned in the list of documents section. All admissions are done in the college according to the admission schedule sent by the university. Any seat that falls vacant due to cancellation is filled on merit basis in the next list.

    • Photocopies of mark sheet of Graduations (TY B.Com./BMS/BAF/BMM / BBI) / equivalent examination
    • Photocopies of the NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the college from which the student is graduated, permitting the student to seek admission to the M.Com. Course at this college.
    • Caste Certificate, if applicable
    • Any other certificate for claiming benefit in admission under different quota like Sports, Cultural Activities, Physically handicapped, Freedom Fighter etc.
    • In case of students from boards other than Maharashtra Board, “Provisional statement of Eligibility” issued by the University of Mumbai is necessary for acceptance of the application form.
  2. For confirmation of admission
    • Originals of the above mentioned documents.
    • 3 passport size colour photographs (recent)
    • 3 Self addressed envelopes with Rs.5/- stamp pasted on the envelope.

Cancellation & Refund of Fees

Students can cancel the admissions, and the documents will be returned immediately or latest within 48 working hours.

NOTE : The total amount considered for the refund of fees from the commencement of half yearly report

  • The fee charged towards group insurance and all fee components to be paid as University share (including Vice-Chancellor fund, University fee for sports and cultural activities, E-charge, Disaster Management Fund, Exam Fee and Enrolment fee) are non-refundable if payment is made to the college prior to the date of cancellation.
  • Fee collected for Identity card and Library card, admission form and prospectus, enrolment and any other course specific fee are not refundable after the commencement of the academic term.
  • All refundable deposits (Laboratory, Caution Money and Library etc.) shall be fully returned at the time of cancellation.

Given below are the ordinances regarding refund of fees for the M.Com Class: 0.3574

  • The registration fees once paid for the post graduate course will not be refunded for any reason.
  • The tuition fees paid by the candidate for the course in which he is registered as a post graduate student will be refunded to him, if he leaves the said course without attending any lectures, seminars or practical, subject to the deduction of 25% o the tuition fees therefore as the administrative charges. An application by the candidate for such refund will only be entertained if it is received by the Registrar/Head of the University Department within fifteen days from the date of commencement of the lectures of the academic year for which the fees is paid.
  • The tuition fees paid by a candidate for the course in which he is registered as a post graduate student will be refunded to him if he leaves the said course and joins another course of this university for which he has applied at the same time and the selection of the new course of this University is made later, subject to the deduction of 25% therefore as administrative charges. An application by the candidate for such refund will only be entertained it is received by the Registrar/Head of the University Department within fifteen days from the date of commencement of the lectures of his paying the tuition fees for the new course.

Refund of College Deposit

Application for the refund of College deposit must be made within one year of the applicant ceasing to be a student of the College, failing which the deposit amount will be forfeited.

  • Gracing: The gracing shall be carried out as per the existing Ordinances of the University as per circular no. UG/139 of 2001 dated 23rd April 2001 and UG/212 of 1997 dated 12th June 1997.
  • Verification & Revaluation The University of Mumbai vide its Directives by Hon. Vice Chancellor no. Exam/VCD/College (Rev.Ver.)/ 1603 of 2005 dated 29th September 2005 has provided the facility of obtaining the Xerox copy of the assessed answer books and the Verification and Revaluation of the same thereafter. Students can apply for verification of the assessed answer books within 15 days of declaration of the results. The students must fill the relevant forms and submit the duly filled in forms with the verification fees and a photo copy of the mark sheet to the college office. The results of verification will be displayed on the notice board. The details of the procedure can be obtained from the examination department of the college.

Unfair Means Inquiry Committee

Students resorting to the use of unfair means during the examinations conducted by the College by themselves or on behalf of the University or by the University itself are requested to note that the minimum punishment recommended by the University (vide circular no. UG / 139 OF 2001 DATED 23RD APRIL 2001) is “Annulment of the performance of the Student at the University / College / Institution Examination in full.” The above action is recommended in case the student is found in possession of the copying material. If it is established that he/she has actually copied from the material, the recommendation is “Exclusion of the student from the University or College or Institution Examination for one additional examination”.

Note: Project work is considered as a special course involving application of knowledge in solving analyzing / exploring a real lifge situation / difficult problem. project work would be of 06 credits. A project work may be undertaken in any area of Elective Courses.

  • A learner shall be allowed To Keep term (ATKT) for Semester II, irrespective of number of heads (subjects) of failure in the Semester I.
  • A learner shall be allowed to take admission and to keep term and also appear for Semester III, irrespective of number of heads (subjects) of failure in the Semester I & Semester II
  • A learner failed in any head Semester I,II,III will be eligible for Semester IV
  • A learner will get thier marksheet after passing of all heads of Semester III and Semester IV
  • A learner should score Minimum 40% in Internal Class Test of 40 marks i.e. 16 marks
  • A learner should score Minimum 40% in Semester End Examination of 60 marks i.e. 24 marks

The Performance of the learners will be evaluated in two componenets as as follows:

  1. Internal Assesment Component Carrying 40% marks
  2. Semester End Examination Component Carrying 60% marks
